The Default Delivery Context is defined by the BPWG as the minimal environment in which the Web can be experienced. Many of the practices in the Basic Guidelines document make reference to the DDC in their recommendations. Designing Web sites with the DDC in mind helps ensure interoperability with devices of this kind.
