As the number suggests, DeviceAtlas 2.1.1 is minor upgrade from version 2.1 that we released just 3 weeks ago.
When we launched DeviceAtlas 2.0 at the beginning of October we did a partial review of the design in order to fit all the new cool features for device profile editing. Of course, those changes affected the overall look of the site, in fact, we felt like some parts of the site did not match the new design anymore. With this release we have reviewed all the CSS and Javascript (so make sure you clear your browser cache if you see something strange). The design is cleaner and richer at the same time, the list of devices list is something like 10 times smaller and we have a lot of nice thumbnails and much more.

While we were reviewing the design we noticed how the documentation was scattered and not fitting into a real structure, now it is. All the documentation including API docs are freely accessible, of course.

Moving forward, we are thinking of adding a new flavour of APIs, we are testing a C++ version just now and we have it running on Windows and various Linux distributions. If you are interested and would like to get a sneak preview, ping us NOW.

We also plan to add new properties to DeviceAtlas about video media. I posted on our forums about a month ago (Video capabilities for offline playback and streaming) and I have now added a list of proposed properties. If you are into the business of media or are looking forward to it, we would love to hear from you. The plan is to define these properties and also build tests that we can run in TA-DA. It is now the time to make your voice heard.

Hey Indusnet,

You can go through the docs for DeviceAtlas here, which also links you to the downloads page (which lists the languages that we currently support)

If you have any questions, feel free to post on the DeviceAtlas Forums, where other developers (and we) can reply to your comments for all to see!

Hi,
I want to evaluate C++ APIs for getting the device capabilities. How can I get those ? I have already sent an email to but I haven't heard back. I would appreciate any help.

Thanks.
