Hi,
How do you guys handle smartfit "feature" of these kind of mobile device?

For now we disable it to test, because it makes everything very hard to design.

Is there a way to tell the phone, by the xhtml page, to not use the smartfit option on our pages?

Isn't the smartfit a setting on the device itself? Ie: It doesn't affect *anything* other than how the content is rendered by the browser.
As far as I know smartfit doesn't alter the UA sent to the server, so there's no way for the server to know at request-time what the browser will do to the content.

Don't take that as gospel, of course

I'm sorry I was talking from a design view.
Was talking about if you have to design a WAP page with a smartfit activated device.

FYI, it seems that the best way of handling this is to make a div that take the width of the phone, because the phone uses smarfit modifications only if there is to be a width scroll bar
