I am a C# programmer in Hre Zimbabwe and knowledgeable in the 2.0 .NET framework. I have been watching these pages for sometime now but have not gone far. Internet connection and speed is restrictive.

I am looking for development or design tools that i can get my hands on to start developing apps. Is there a sample "hello world" i can get to kick start me and get to understand the basics. I managed to go through the guidelines and a great piece of documentation it is. What SDKs are used to develop/design for beginners? How effective is drupal?

Please may you help me out.
