Hi Everybody,
I'm very, very new to Mobile-ready website design, and was after reading for a bit, I decided to take the plunge and just ask (given that most sources I find that address my question are either too technical for me to understand as of yet, or outdated [google search gives me 2009 articles]).
I'm planning to design a simple clone to an existing website that would be under the dotmobi domain (I'm thinking of adding a CSS or PHP listener to auto-detect the mobile-device and redirect to the dotmobi clone). I however need to know if its possible (and reasonable) to have an embedded streaming video on my homepage?
I've read a lot about using 3gp (h264 codec), and using rtsp://. I just need some confirmation, since I know for a fact that using flv's are not too recommended due to compatibility issues with Flash.
Any advice? Is using 3gp vids and rstp:// the way to go? If so, any recommended (best practices) quality and filesize for the video?
Thank you!
