I'm thinking about making a iphone friendly version of a site i'm working on. The problem is that it contains several dropdown menu's that are triggered on :hover with css, and thats not really supported by the Iphone.

Is there a way to activate the dropdown list without the onmousover or the :hover on the Iphone? Or is it best to avoid dropdowns completely and keep it more simple? I made a mobile site before and that one was really basic, but since the Iphone is more advanced and handles things a bit different then the average phone I thought maybe I can keep the dropdown menu's. But so far it looks like a bad idea to keep them.

With dropdown i don't mean the form list dropdown, but like you can see in the navigation here -> http://on-site.nl/
