This question might be silly, but I just get started with DeviceAtlas. I think I'd better get a good understanding.

When the device data (JSON file) is updated, do you just add more device or device specs? I'm wondering if there's anything that won't be changed between updates, such as Device ID or user agent. Hopefully not.

With updates you get new devices and you get new values, but of course that varies every day. Some days you might receive 3 new devices, some day you might receive just a few updates in the values.

The device IDs should normally never change unless we discover a duplicate and we consolidate. That's rare, but can happen.

The headers might change as we discover new ones. The way our tree is built is to optimise speed of recognition, but adding new headers and new devices may change the structure. You should not worry about that, anyway, because the API takes care of it.
