Hi,

Is there a way to add user-agents to devices? Through the web interface it's possible to edit different attributes but adding a user agent string doesn't seem to be possible.

I have a Nokia N96 1.0 which has a user-agent

Mozilla/5.0 (SymbianOS/9.3; Series60/3.2 NokiaN96-1/1.00; Profile/MIDP-2.1 Configuration/CLDC-1.1;) AppleWebKit/413 (KHTML, like Gecko) Safari/413

The N96 in the DA database is sporting

Mozilla/5.0 (SymbianOS/9.3; U; Series60/3.2 NokiaN96-1/1.00; Profile/MIDP-2.1 Configuration/CLDC-1.1;) AppleWebKit/413 (KHTML, like Gecko) Safari/413
Mozilla/5.0 (SymbianOS/9.3; U; Series60/3.2 NokiaN96-1/1.10; Profile/MIDP-2.1 Configuration/CLDC-1.1;) AppleWebKit/413 (KHTML, like Gecko) Safari/413
Mozilla/5.0 (SymbianOS/9.3; U; Series60/3.2 NokiaN96-1/1.11; Profile/MIDP-2.1 Configuration/CLDC-1.1;) AppleWebKit/413 (KHTML, like Gecko) Safari/413

For some reason the DA scripts are unable to map the first one to N96.

Thanks,

Hi Miikka,
I think the problem with the recognition is a slight difference in your User-Agent string, while our recognition circumvents these slight differences in most cases, sometimes we just need to add a new value to the database.

The easiest way if you have the device is to use it to log on http://ta-da.mobi/tests and run a test session. The more of it you run, the more data we can collect.

On the other hand if you found this string in the logs of your website we have a programmatic API that you can use to post headers to us. If you would like to speak more about this, please contact me offline, our support account is da.tech AT mtld.mobi.
