I have a few sites that use to score a 5/5 and now are scoring 4/5. No code was changed on my end and I know that I've heard other people complaining that their ready scores were lowered as well.
Have changes been made to the way that ready.mobi scores sites?

I've noticed the same problem. Can someone from the Ready.mobi team please advise on any recent changes and how it effects the scoring?

We occasionally make minor tweaks to the algorithm where we identify inconsistencies between the mobileOK spec and our service, or as a result of a verified bug-report. Inevitably these can cause score fluctuations, and if your site is borderline between two score bands, it could be bumped down or up to the next band. Can you let us know on what tests you have noticed differences, and what error messages you are now receiving?

I've noticed the same problem - especially for XHTML Mobile Profile test. Even sites which have passed the test in the past don't pass it anymore. Examples: http://ijax.mobi/, http://visitathensga.mobi/ and http://www.helenga.mobi/.
We definitively use XHTML.
Did you change your validation criteria?
Thank you in advance.

Just a quick update on this: there does seem to be a validation issue that we are looking into at the moment. Will keep you all posted.

Hi,
I am new to this blog. I gotta doubt regarding use of "ul" & "li" tags for mobi. Nowadays people are much into smart phones. Is it good to use these tags instead now? Does it affect the mobi rating by lowering it ?

Ruadhan,
Thanks for the update. The sites are now scoring 5/5 again. Are you able to share with us exactly what had changed in the validation process.
Thanks,
Pilot

There was no intentional changes to the validation process - we had server issues, and it didn't reboot correctly; it turned out the application was performing most of the tests fine, but unfortunately bombed out on the validation tests no matter what markup it was being shown.
Thanks for your patience & feedback!
