I uploaded the mobile pack. When I use any theme other than Carrington, say the blue, green or red, the javascipt for adsence, infolink and others are showing up on post pages. The display is correct when using Carrington theme, but it is not as pretty as the other three themes. Why does this happen?

So what happens is you see the homepage headlines correctly. When you click on them, you see the post body correctly, but then you also see the entire codes for adsense, infolink etc.

Please help me correct this. When I use Carrington, I don't see any widgets at all, but the other themes show widgets nicely.

First off, and just to be clear... when you say 'Carrington', do you mean the Crowd Favorite mobile version of that theme? (e.g. http://mobile.carringtontheme.com/ )

Obviously, that's not part of the Mobile Pack, so I can't comment on how it works.

Anyway... back to the Mobile Pack. There is an option to strip Javascript in the 'Mobile theme' page, which is on by default. However, this currently only strips tags (not content), and in the AdSense snippet, some script tags actually contain script - which then appears verbatim.

I have fixed this in the trunk of the code, and it will be resolved in v1.2, released on the 18th Dec. I hope you can wait!

For ads for mobile, you should probably be using Google's mobile service:

https://www.google.com/adsense/mobile

The MobilePack provides a special Mobile AdSense widget for this purpose.

I hope that helps

Hello James,

Thank you for the assistance. I had earlier used the crowd favourite them and so I think it is availalbe to me when I choose the theme I want.

I will wait for the update due in a couple of days so I can use some of the nicer themes.

What happens with adsense is that even though you write your ident number in the widget, it does not pull ads from Google. Google mobile wants one to insert code into the mobile theme, I think, and i don't know where that goes and Google is not clear about that.

But a magnificent job sinc editing and posting while mobile has become a much easier task.

Currently using a generic theme provided by Nokia, which looks a little better than crowd favourite, but there are issues. So will wait to see the upgrade on the 18th.

Thank you again.

Best,

Salim

The problem with adsense and other code has now been resolved by the new release. However, there is a gap between the end of the post where the code was stripped by the mobile theme and the start of an ad or a text-based widget.

Secondly, using the widget provided for admob and adsense - one finds only admob works but adsense does not.

It would be good if someone posted an article on how to incorporate admob or adsense code.

But a fantastic job on creating the mobile pack. It is dynamite. Super job.

Thanks.
