I use Dotster hosting, and I am unable to check my site against readyMobi for some URL, domain pointing issue.
1) index.xhtml does not seem to work as a default index page, and I would appreciate knowing why and how to fix it (for this is how I write, save, and upload it).
2) even with that file renamed index.html, readyMobi can not find it, and is redirected to my personal home page.
I have been hung up on this for two days, not being able to advance in my development self-training, trying to get this bugger to work.
Hope this is the right posting location for this. I've got quite a few clients that I'm updating with mobile sites. My question is how important is it (opinion-wise) to have them register a ".mobi" domain as a duplicate to their normal ".com" domains.
With redirect solutions I now have it so any visitor will forward to the correct page, based on their connection/browser type (desktop or mobile device).
Will a .mobi url give them better visibility in search environments or is just more "junk"
Hello everyone I just want to WARN people of godaddy.com there Mobile doesnt work it was such a Headache fguring ot what to do since they want to charge for almost everything in order for your site to work properly. Wish It was more than 60days to transfer my mobi to domainmonster.com there way better and they have hundreds of templates and Instant Mobilizer. Just wanted to say that. fellow Mobi.
I registered .mobi domain name and I also have a website .com URL. Do you know what are steps I need to setup so that my customers can launch my website using .mobi domain, not .com domain. Thanks for your help!
Don't know if this is the right place, but TechSupport.mobi is scheduled to be auctioned at bido.com on April 20, 2009 at 1 p.m. EST, 10 a.m. PST. It's only a one hour auction. A good chance to pick up a premium .mobi for a good price.
