dotMobi is the first – and only – top-level internet domain dedicated to delivering the Internet to mobile devices and making the mobile web a success. We are a well-funded start-up, backed by 12 well-known industry investors.
We are seeking smart, smart software people to join us in Dublin and help us with a number of high-visibility projects that we believe can become fundamental in promoting the growth of the mobile web.
You must be able to design and building superbly functional web applications, know how to create beautiful user interfaces, and have a desire to shape the future of mobile.
You must have experience and understanding of secure, reliable deployment patterns, web crawling techniques, clustering & load sharing technologies, report extraction, and web load & stress testing.
You must be incredibly committed and efficient (shaping the future isn’t easy), have a great sense of humour, and be in your perfect element when working in an intellectually challenging, fast moving start-up environment – where nothing but personal contribution counts.
(Now for the obligatory acronyms… you should know Java, PHP, Python, XHTML, XHTML-MP, XML, WML, XPath, CSS, Javascript, XHR/AJAX, MySQL, Linux, Lucene, Sitemap, WURFL, WALL, CMS / blog platforms, and domain technologies. Anything you don't know, you should prove you can learn 🙂 )
Prior success is more important than a jargoned resumé, so candidates should include details or web addresses of previous exciting and relevant projects.
